New gig

Well, I started my new job Thursday and so far, so good. I'm working for the same agency I did before, but in a completely different capacity. I am now a "Vocational Specialist." I work for a job program called Stepworks as well as for the Homeless Intervention Project. Homeless people with a psychiatric diagnoses are referred to us and I help them find housing and a job. It's a nice change from the treatment facility, a quiet office with much less unpredictability. Like any new job there's a lot to learn and they'll be some adjustments. For example, for the first time in years and years, I am now working a M-F dayshift schedule. Ack. That'll take getting used to. But I think the benefits will outweigh the disadvantages.
