Shove it!

I quit my job. Something had to give and I gave. April 20th will be my last day and on April 21st I'll have a long flight to some Swedish meatballs to process the past eight years. It had been a long time coming but the actual decision was very sudden, the result of some major personnel changes...the place felt like a sinking ship. As readers of the NoP know I've been thinking about going back to school for counselling; this will allow me to concentrate more on that decision. And I do have a few leads on jobs so I'm sure it'll work out fine. But it's been an emotionally draining week. Glad it's over.

I agree, Pete, congratulations! Changes like this are usually both scary and exciting, but it will indeed clear the path for the Next Big Thing.

Congrats Pete. It's a big life change but I think it will work out for the best. I think that anytime you do things for the right reasons you are eventually rewarded for that. You have helped so many people and I know that if you continue your education and go into counseling you will help many, many more. You rock Pete! Think of how great it will be to go on vacation and know that when you come back you don’t have to go back to work!!!

Wowsers Pete - well done. Nothing quite like sticking the old blender into your life situation! It can ONLY turn out for the best, I just know it. Truly beautiful dudes like you get what you deserve, and you deserve a lot of happiness.
Give Mattias a little squeeze from me & Kate, and wish him well from us. Enjoy your time at the Steiner place too - looks, and sounds amAZing.
Sending you much love on this, the start of 'Pete's Newest and Most Exhilarating Chapter Yet'
